McLaren and LEGO Partner on Google F1 Esports Series

McLaren Racing and LEGO® are collaborating to bring fans closer to the Formula 1 action with a series of digital experiences.

As part of the partnership, LEGO® will become the official title partner of the McLaren Shadow Project, McLaren's esports team competing in the Google F1 Esports Series.

Lando Norris, McLaren F1 driver and winner of the inaugural McLaren Shadow Project in 2020, will continue to mentor and support the team's sim racers.

The McLaren Shadow Project aims to find and develop the next generation of Formula 1 Esports talent, providing a platform for sim racers to showcase their abilities and compete at the highest level.

The partnership with LEGO® will see the team's sim racers take on the famous Silverstone Circuit in a McLaren MCL36 wrapped in a bespoke LEGO® livery.

Fans will have the chance to win exclusive LEGO® McLaren prizes and get closer to the action through a range of digital and social media activations.

The Google F1 Esports Series is the official Formula 1 esports championship, featuring teams and drivers from across the globe competing in virtual races using the official F1 racing game.

The McLaren Shadow Project team will compete in the Pro Championship, which features some of the world's best sim racers.

• Circuit of the Americas, United States – 28 September 2023
• Monza Circuit, Italy – 12 October 2023
• Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi – 2 November 2023
